The cold breeze brushed gently against her skin, making her hair flow with a quiet rhythm. Her gaze, however, remained fixed on the world beyond the transparent glass.

Raindrops pattered endlessly against it, a steady drizzle broken by the heavy thuds of larger drops. The sound pulled her deeper into herself, as though every drop carried a fragment of memory. Slowly, her fingers lifted, brushing lightly against the glass as her eyes searched the storm outside.

But though she looked outward, her mind wasn't there. Not really. Even after all these years, it was still caught on him.

Her eyes shimmered, filling with unshed pain - not just sorrow, but regret, heavy and suffocating. With a quiet sigh, she closed them at last, and a single tear slid free, tracing the outline of her face as it fell.

His gaze lifted slowly from the file in front of him, shifting sideways through the corner of his eye. The relentless patter of rain against the transparent glass, loud and threatening, pulled him to his feet.

Step by step, he moved closer. His brows drew together, tightening as his fingertips brushed lightly against the cold surface of the glass.

He swallowed hard, as though forcing down a memory too sharp, too brutal to face - one that cut through him like a blade. His eyes pressed shut, but it was useless. A single tear broke free, carving its silent path down his face.

She stood on the garden pathway, clutching the handle of her purse tightly with both hands. The path was lined with lush greenery and the air carried a restless hum, alive with footsteps and hurried voices of staff rushing here and there, preparing for the evening ahead. But amidst the vibrant chaos, her heart thudded in a rhythm of its own - heavy with anxiety, knotted with nervousness, and... perhaps weighed down by something even deeper. The fear of facing him again.
Once, this city had been a treasure to her, a place she cherished. But today, it stood as a monument of betrayal, carving an unhealed wound deep in her heart.

The man she had once loved with all her heart had shattered her just as deeply. She had sworn never to see him again, never to let him invade her world. But if fate had decided otherwise, then so be it. She was ready for the battle that made her heart race, an intensity she couldn't ignore.

She knew that if she saw him again, she might lose herself all over. He was the only one - the one she had loved with every heartbeat, every ounce of strength, every fragile hope. And yet, in mere seconds, he had shattered it all.

The weight of those memories pressed against her chest, her eyes growing heavy with the storm of consequences his presence still carried. But before the emotions could betray her, she pulled herself together, masking the turmoil, and lifted her gaze with quiet resolve.

She turned, her gaze wandering over the crowd of people bustling with preparations. She was waiting for someone when her eyes suddenly fell on a familiar figure. It didn't even take a second-her heart knew. That face, that presence... the only man she had sworn never to see again, the only one she had never wanted to face.

Her breath caught in her throat as a heavy wind brushed past her, sweeping her hair backward in a rhythm of its own. Her heart seemed to stop beating, the world around her faded, her vision blurred. She stared at him-just stared-like her eyes were chained, unable to look away.

And then, a single tear slipped free, trailing down her cheek, as his words replayed mercilessly in her mind. But before she could sink deeper into the past, her gaze shifted-and froze-on a young woman, likely in her twenties, who had stepped beside him... standing close, too close.

His mind was fully consumed in his work as he continued signing, while the girl stood close beside him. A pang of guilt erupted in Myra's throat, one she found impossible to swallow. It felt as if her heart was falling apart just by witnessing their closeness, as if someone had stabbed her heart a million times over. Her eyes blurred, fully covered with tears and pain, and it felt like the worst nightmare she had ever gone through-yet this time, her eyes were open, and there was no waking up from it.

Feeling the presence of someone beside him, he glanced to the side through the corner of his eye.
"Stand away," his voice came out cold, almost fearable. The girl beside him shivered and immediately stepped back.

He continued signing, his focus lost in the papers, while she couldn't even hear a word he said. Yet the scene in front of her stabbed her heart-not once, not twice, but millions of times. Still, her legs, as if moved by some unknown force, carried her forward. She didn't know what she was doing; she just kept walking, slowly, yet deliberately. Her heart trembled, her hands shook, and her breath grew heavy. Her chest rose and fell unevenly as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Her gaze was fixed only on him, while his remained buried in his work, completely unaware that someone-she-was walking towards him. Her lips trembled violently, and with a heavy whisper, her voice finally broke through the silence.

"5 saal...
4 mahine...
30 din...
17 ghante...
20 minute..."

He couldn't understand a thing at first, but the weight of a familiar gaze pressed on him, an intensity he couldn't ignore. Slowly, almost unwillingly, he looked up-just as her final whisper cut through the air.

"...10 seconds."
